Yes, you and three others, would share a whole cow; you are actually buying a cow! We custom raise the animal and have it sent to a local, custom butcher for processing for you. The cost is $5.25/lb for the "hanging weight" of the cow. That's the weight of the cow as it is aging in the cooler, which should be anywhere between 675-750lbs (1/4 of that would be about 185 pounds, or $970). This translates to about 85-95lbs of beef in your freezer (the difference between the hanging weight and the amount of beef in your freezer is from the aging process and the bones and excess fat). The cuts will be a mix of some steaks (filets, NY strips, ribeyes, and sirloins), roasts, stew, and a good amount of ground beef. That's about $10/lb for the steaks alone! Your beef will be ready in late December. Reach out to us with any questions! If you need it shipped, there is a $75 shipping fee (it’s a lot of beef through the mail!).
